Ready to begin your journey?
Thank you so much for your interest in the Adhikara Yoga training! Here’s what you need to do to apply:
Make sure you’ve read and understand the Training Requirements listed below.
Fill out and send the completed application, also below.
Within one week, Molly will email you to schedule a phone call to discuss your application.
If we decide the training is a good fit for you at this time, you’ll be sent the Community Agreements and your Tuition Contract to sign and mail back.
Next you’ll pay either your full tuition (for Early Bird specials), or for payment plans, the non-refundable $300 deposit (which is also your first monthly payment). Payment plan recipients will also set up auto-withdrawal for future payments.
If we decide the training is not a good fit at this time, we’ll notify you by email.
To successfully complete the training and qualify for certification, teacher trainees must:
Have a minimum of one year yoga practice at the start of the training
Agree to and abide by the Community Agreements and Tuition Contract, sent upon acceptance in the training
Attend all 10 weekends (14 hours each weekend; 7 hours each Saturday and Sunday)*
Complete all the required reading and homework assignments (expect ~2 hours per week)
Attend an additional 40 hours of asana classes over the course of the 10 months, along with written reflections (average of 4 hours per month, or 1hr/week, for 10 months)**
Observe and complete the worksheets for 5 additional yoga classes during the Teaching Immersion Semester.
Receive a passing grade on final take-home exam
Complete the final teaching practicum
*If you wish to receive your 200-hour certification at the end of the program, it is necessary to attend all 10 weekends to accrue the mandatory hours as determined by Yoga Alliance. You may miss a maximum of 5 hours without having to make up the hours (though are you will be responsible for the information covered during those hours). If you miss more than 5 hours due to emergency, weather, or illness, there is the possibility of making up those hours through watching recorded content, attending other workshops, or individualized assignments. Makeup sessions will be discussed on an individual, case-by-case basis and may not be possible in every situation. There may be an additional cost if 1:1 time is needed. If you are concerned or have questions about this policy, please contact Molly.
**Trainees receive a 10-class card to Community Yoga as part of their tuition. The cost of additional classes (at the studio of their choice, with prior approval from the trainers) is the responsibility of the trainee. This requirement provides important continuity of practice between monthly intensives. Attendance and reflections will be due quarterly to help keep the trainee on track.
